Lambda Nu History

The Lambda Nu chapter was founded at Stanford University on February 26, 1983 by the men of 5 Survivors and Septum Exodus. Brother Ian Laing, a masters‘ candidate in Stanford’s Mechanical Engineering program, pledged the Eta Epsilon chapter at Rutgers University and sponsored the founding lines through the Gamma Alpha chapter at UC Berkeley and Palo Alto Alumni Chapter.  Lambda Nu soon came to represent Santa Clara University, and since then has summoned a number of upstanding young men who have answered the call to strive for achievement in every field of human endeavor.

But who are we, really?

We are leaders in the black community and beyond.  We take our academics seriously and set high standards for our scholastic goals.  Our events lay foundations for learning, fellowshipping in one another’s company, and strengthening the ties that bind all of us.  We value brotherhood to the utmost, and support our Fraternity’s endeavors not only on campus but on the West Coast.  We stand out as individuals, and represent innovation and achievement as a unit.  We are Lambda Nu.
